Treating the animals and environment we farm with respect is top of the list for us. We know that by doing this we will produce a great, sustainable product, but more importantly to us we know it’s ethically right.

- Superior quality and consistency. Thornby Premium Lamb is recognised for its high level of marbling with a whiter fat coverage which looks fantastic in shop displays. The increased marbling results in a high level of tenderness, milder flavour compared to traditional lamb and ability to retain product attributes after freezing.
- Complete traceability right through the value chain from paddock to plate. This traceability is externally validated through accreditation with AusMeat’s LPAS-QA scheme, one of only 5 producers in Australia who currently meet these high standards in animal welfare and food safety.
- How we treat our lambs. All our lambs have access to high quality diets and are moved using low-stress techniques. Our handling yards are designed to make stock work as stress-free as possible for both the animal and us alike. Having our own trucks for transport allows freight at times suitable for the animal, not just when it suits the carrier.
- Nationally recognised. Thornby Premium Lamb currently holds the title of Australia’s Best Lamb after winning Grand Champion at Lambex. We have also won Gold at both the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show and Australian Food Awards.
